Designed by Ong & Ong, this house in Singapore is one of the greatest examples of modern and minimalist house design. Even though it’s so contemporary it also is very well balanced with nature. The concept of the design is to create open and filled with light living space which also has some privacy. The first floor has glazed walls that leads directly to the pool. This pool with a garden near by separates house for two pieces and is a perfect place to relax and spent time with friends and family. The entire second floor in the main section of the house is allocated for a master bedroom/study space with an en suite bathroom. The interior is done in minimalist style with modern materials and hidden TV and music appliances.

Elegant and stylis Classic Interior Design

Sally Conran is an art director and stylist whose passions involve interior design, lifestyle and last but not least- and you probably did not see this coming- food. For today, we made a selection of some of her works regarding interior arrangements. What is striking at first when looking at her projects is an overall feeling of peace, harmony and not to mention elegance. All the elements seem to feet perfectly in the light decors and looking at them seems to make their atmosphere contagious- it is almost like a change of state. Decorating elements such as candles, interesting wallpapers, unusual vases with flowers enhance this perception. The mix of mellow colours is also of great effect.[via]

Fabulous Room

This week’s fabulous room is the living room belonging to Atlanta-based interior designer, Jill Sharp Brinson who also happens to be the creative director for Ballard Designs. Brinson and her husband, Rob renovated their 1936 cottage into the gorgeous space you see today, complete with exposed wooden beams and steel bookshelves. Her use of textiles and patterns no doubt, warms up the space tremendously.

Brinson mixes several styles in her home: country, industrial, and even Moroccan which blend together beautifully! This seating area currently features a Moroccan tapestry, a French industrial table, and those gorgeous sconces. However, Brinson says she constantly changes the look of the space by experimenting with new lampshades, textiles, and accessories.
